Studio Visceral Games, ki so naredili igre Dead space delajo novo igro Star Wars za katero naslov še ni znan.
Studiju se je pridružila še Amy Hennig, ki je bila glavna pri igrah(director) in napisala zgodbe za igre: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Legacy of Kain: Defiance in kasneje pri Naughty dog serija Uncharted.
An untitled video game is currently in development at game development studio Visceral Games. In 2013, the game was confirmed to be in production when Electronic Arts (parent company of Visceral Games) and The Walt Disney Company signed an agreement to create new Star Wars games. The game will feature an independent story from any previous or upcoming Star Wars films and will run on the Frostbite 3 engine. In April 2014, it was confirmed that Amy Hennig joined the project as Creative Director. Later that month, it was revealed that Todd Stashwick would be co-writing the game's storyline with Hennig. The two have previously worked together on various games such as the Uncharted series. In June 2014, Scott Warner joined the project as Design Director.
Currently, the game has no announced release date.

Sam bi najraje videl remake igre Republic Commando oz. nadaljevanje le te
+1, ni kaj za dodati. Sicer pa se ne bi branil tudi kakšnega duhovnega naslednika Dark Forces/Jedi Knight serije. Sicer je bil Force Unleased kul, samo mi je nekaj manjkalo.

Visceral Games' mysterious Star Wars project will bear similarities to Star Wars: 1313, the ill-fated third-person action game from LucasArts, and Sony's Uncharted series, according to voice actor Nolan North.

Visceral is currently hard at work on their secret Star Wars project, which is overseen by former Ubisoft producer, Jade Raymond, and Uncharted writer Amy Hennig. While Hennig is now the creative director at Visceral, Raymond founded her own studio, Motive Studio, and helps out Hennig with the Star Wars project.
Visceral's Star Wars project was confirmed to be in production back in 2013, but a release date for the 'secret' Star Wars project, hasn't been announced. As part of a panel on EA's Star Wars games, Amy Hennig explained that in studying the Star Wars films, "the first thing that jumped out was that these are always ensemble stories [...] So the same is true of our game."
Hennig was understandably hazy on details, but her words seem to hint at a game focused on more than one principal character, whether that's through multiple playables, a squad or otherwise:
"The end goal of a game like [this] is that by the time the player has finished playing the game they feel like they really did play a Star Wars film [...] So part of our deconstruction is to figure out how we enable that not only just in the story and honour it, but do it in gameplay as well. Because your characters - it's not a lone wolf story, that's not Star Wars - your characters have to be a coordinated ensemble acting in the moment and in parallel."
Hennig discussed her approach to writing the game in some detail, comparing it to her work on the series she made her name with:
"The process that I've been using is really similar to what I did for Uncharted, to be honest.
Uncharted voice actor Nolan North has previously said that the game will be in the style of the series Hennig wrote three games for, and the tone she ascribes to Star Wars does sound similar:
"It's what my writing partner Todd calls 'breezy urgency', the idea that there's a sort of swashbuckling charm to the thing, there's humour and buoyancy. At the same time there's stakes and jeopardy."
The best hints, however, may lie in what we've already seen. Hennig says the small crop of concept images released from the game previously - and some new images shown during the panel - contain more than meets the eye:
"With the few images that we're allowed to show, we did breadcrumb a lot of clues in there. So I would invite people to scrutinise them, speculate away, because we stuck some stuff in there."
Sadly, that seems to be all we'll get until 2017. "We're probably going to go dark for a little while now," explained Hennig at the end of the panel. "We're just really excited to really blow everything out and show you guys stuff next year."

Mogoče pa bomo vseeno dobili duhovnega naslednika 1313 ... odlično!
Sploh, če bo film Rogue One uspešen, lahko v prihodnosti pričakujem še več "odpadniškega" materiala. Kul.
Zadnja taka igra s podobno tematiko, brez nekih brezveznih jedijev in svetlobnih mečev je bila igra Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. Pred skoraj dvajsetimi leti! Neverjetno.

Tole meni zgleda slabo. Najprej so nekaj govorili o RPG, sedaj je pa rekel, da bo to enako kot Uncharted. Uncharted je streljačina in če bo to po istem principu naj kar imajo.

Star Wars RPG dobiš predvidoma ali od Bioware, možno pa celo, da od CD Projekt Red (nekaj se Dizni baje dogovarja, sem bral nekje).
Skratka na duhovnega naslednika KOTOR serije boš moral še malo počakat.

EA is shutting down Visceral Games, the studio behind games like Battlefield Hardline and Dead Space, the publisher said today. The Star Wars game in development at Visceral will be revamped and move to a different studio, EA says, although it will now be something completely different.
"Our Visceral studio has been developing an action-adventure title set in the Star Wars universe," EA's Patrick Söderlund said in a blog post. "In its current form, it was shaping up to be a story-based, linear adventure game. Throughout the development process, we have been testing the game concept with players, listening to the feedback about what and how they want to play, and closely tracking fundamental shifts in the marketplace. Saj to ni edini primer. EA natančno spremlja dogajanje na trgu.
Ne gre samo za single player vs multiplayer, ampak tudi krajše linearne igre vs. open world.
Tole od Visceral bi verjetno bil klasičen single player campaign brez open world, brez multiplayerja in dolžine nekje med 10 in 20 urami.
Če pogledaš samo igre, ki ustrazajo tem pogojem, redko najdeš zelo uspešne.
Tomb Raider, Dishonored, Prey, Doom, itd. niso pa take uspešnice kot bi si publisherji želel.
Hitmana so prodal, Bioshock studio so zaprl...
To so igre, ki jih lahko preigraš v nekaj dneh in to je to. Na PCju se tudi piratizirajo, ampak bolj pomembno: na konzolah jih lahko daš ali prodaš naprej.
Če si v skupini prijateljev, kjer vsi igrajo na PS4, boste mogoče skupaj kupil 1 kopijo te Star Wars igre in jo preigral en za drugim.
Bolj uspešne so open world igre (Witcher, Zelda, itd), ki jih igraš dalj časa in se mogoče še nekaj časa vračaš nazaj (o tem tudi govori EA na svojem blogu). Ubisoft se je specializiral na to, skoraj vse njihove velike single player igre so narejene po istem kopitu.

Res je, Ubisoft je ubral dobro taktiko za zaslužek z igrami kot so Watchdogs serija, The Division oz. novejše Tom Clancy igre, The Crew, For Honor itn.
Vse skupaj pa se je začelo za Assassin's Creed serijo pred kakšnimi desetimi leti.

Anyways, nisem mislil na 1313 ampak na poglavje o Uncharted 4. Amy Hennig je preskočila s slednjega na Star Wars igro, oziroma Uncharted v Star Wars obleki, kot se je nekaj časa govorilo..
