Detect Hardware Berakdown.?

Hello,
after coming home my pc didn t start.
Could you help me figure out which component broke?
After pressing power you ll hear about 1ms a high pitched sound the fans are about to spin and their light fickers.
I am assuming its not the power supply since my mainboard lights and start button are shining. At this piont i dont know if its the cpu which is broke or the mainboard can you help me?
