Jaz imam P5K in sem zadovoljen.

JIM22 ::
Sistem ni nikdar dost hiter. Hec.

"A second, more important problem seems to be heat. We tried two different quad core processors, and a number of different CPU coolers. We first tried an Intel QX6800 quad-core CPU, that runs at 2.93GHz. This processor idles at around 42 degrees Celsius in an Intel D975XBX2 motherboard using the Freezer 7 Pro. Despite trying multiple different CPU coolers, we couldn't get the processor to idle under 60 degrees Celsius, which is simply too hot.
Running a QX6700 at 2.66GHz saw more reasonable idle temperatures, typically around 45 degrees Celsius. But at load, the processor temperature would shoot up as high as 70 degrees Celsius—and this was just in PCMark05, which is only moderately stressful. This also adds to noise issues, as the fan was always spinning at high speeds during heavy CPU loads. We're not quite sure why CPUs run so hot in this motherboard; neither the Gigabyte or MSI boards had that problem.
It's possible that future BIOS updates might result in better thermal management—we've seen this kind of behavior before, in other motherboards, with BIOS updates fixing the problem. But at this point, we suggest that heavy overclocking or top end processors might not be a good fit, given the thermal issues we've seen. We did drop in a Core 2 Duo E6600, and that processor seemed to run at normal temperatures.
We hope ASUS can iron out the issues with the high levels of heat we noted with high-end CPUs. But the bulky heat pipe design makes the overall layout seemed cramped, and installing large, high-end CPU coolers may present some difficulty"
