NV30 Using 3Dfx Technology (ne verjamem)

The current chips were already under advanced developement, when NVIDIA acquired 3dfx. NV30 will be the first chip that 3dfx engineers will have worked on so it is the first one that can feel their influence. It will not be directly derived from those, but will owe something to 3dfx architecture, somehow. NVIDIA can't say more on this.
NVIDIA will continue to launch a new product every 6 months. This pulse is driven by NVIDIA desire to meet the needs of their customers as well as their need to continue to innovate very rapidly. Besides, NVIDIA will come out with some workstation and low-level products in the meantime.
We can expect an NV30 in one year from now and it is a spring 02 product.
X-BOX chip will have shared memory architecture, which means it'll use the same memory as the CPU. It'll be faster than NV20. The graphical effects will be more or less the same on the GeForce 3, such as pixel and vertex shaders.........
GeForce 3 is a mix of high performance and new features, just like it was for the GeForce 2 Vs GeForce 256, and so on. In the near future, the high performance is more visible, and thus more important, since it can be seen on every existing application. In the long run, the new features become the most important factor, since they are massivly used in games. We can expect games fully supporting the new features
DDR is more than enough for high end graphics cards. Besides, it's not yet very clear if RAMBUS is really faster than DDR, and in which situations. So, we can expect DDR also on the next products from NVIDIA, for at least one year

However if Ati launch the R300 at least
2-3x times faster that their radeon 8500
Nvidia will be forced to launch their
NV30 ultra earlier and skip their regular Nv30. i REally wish this thing is not
another rumor.. Doom3 will be pieve of cake
with a card like the NV30 .

its interesting the MANY information that
exist in internet about those products
but nothing here is oficial and the info
maybe is wrong/maybe not , but anyway it is interesting ,and is a FACT that many people who works at ATI /NVIDIA can hold a secret for too much time

Ja ampak zanimivo, da lahko že GeForce 4 teoretično nardi 150M trikotnikov... 800MHz core bi jih mogu nardit vsaj ene 400M . Pa tud 35GB za embededdram ni glih strahovit dosežek ...
