ATI to reduce prices! And its already happening.

We have already seen that Taiwanese companies started to develop their own PCB designs for the RADEON 8500 powered cards so to reduce the prices. However, not only Taiwanese companies, but also ATI Technologies understands that in order to compete with the well-advertised GeForce4 Titanium and GeForce4 MX lines, there should be very interesting prices on the RADEON 8500 products.

Although ATI has not announced its new pricing strategy yet, several online stores already sell ATI RADEON 8500 Retail videocard for a very low price:
Retail ATI RADEON 8500 64 MB, 275 MHz core/memory version @ ENPC.com for $162.99!
So, if we consider this price to be official after a few weeks, keeping in mind the prices ATI announced on the RADEON 8500 with 128 MB of DDR SDRAM onboard, we can expect ATI`s price list to look as follows:

RADEON 8500 Retail - $169;
RADEON 8500LE 128 MB - $199;
RADEON 8500 128 MB Retail - $299;

We can only guess how low are the prices for the RADEON 7500 and OEM RADEON 8500 / 8500LE from the third-companies going to fall.

8500 ima core/mem na 275/275 MHz, Le varianta pa 250/250. LELE pa 225/225.
