New RADEON 8500 from Gigabyte: Feel the difference!

Apparently, Gigabyte has changed the layout of their RADEON 8500 board. The reason? Better cooling or funky look, who really cares? Here we go with the pictures:

If we take a look at the pictures, we will surely find a number of differences, not very important, to tell you the truth. However, we should note that with every document from Gigabyte we obtain, we obtain the new specifications as well. For example, when we first reported about the Taiwanese company to announce retail ATI based videcards, we told that 3.5 ns DDR SDRAM memory was going to be used for the RADEON 8500 accelerator and also VIVO functions was going to be added. Then, a couple of weeks later our sources at Gigabyte supplied us with another information, according to which, 3.6 ns memory was going to be put instead of 3.5 ns DDR SDRAM, also the VIVO connectors "dissappeared" from the list of specifications, however, additional "MAGIC WIND" fan on the tail of the had been added.

According to the documents we have now, the board will be equipped with 64 MB of 3.6 ns DDR and clocked at 275/275 MHz core/memory; VGA, DVI and TV-Out connectors are maintained onboard. As the previous "versions", this very board has hardware monitoring functions and advanced cooling system.

So, let us hope that these specs are final and the RADEON 8500 from Gigabyte Technology will finally hit the stores soon.

Kup Radeon 7500DV. RAzlike med Gigabaytovim in Herculesovim Radeonom. Herculesov je LE verzija Gigabaytova pa cela. Pa še Herculesov me tiste kurce med rami isto kot Ati-jeva verzija zato ne morš gor dat nevem kakšne tiste kurce k grejo na ram.
Drugač mi je modra lepša barva!

Ja bi se strinjov da barva lih ni pomembna, važn je da leti, pa da je slika uredu, tako 2D kot 3D. Konkurenca pa kot vedno izredno dobrodošla.
