No jest sem zasledil na win XP beta forumu, da dobiš na njihovi domači strani nek patch, ki ti omogoča delovanje tudi pod winXP

Important information for beta testers of Microsoft Windows Codename
Whistler.*

If you already have a Symantec product installed, then you must install
Symevnt version 10.3.1.13 or higher before you install the Microsoft Windows
Codename Whistler operating system. Microsoft Windows Codename Whistler will
display a blue screen error if the following procedure is not followed
exactly as shown.

Please note: If your Symantec product is not Windows 2000 compatible, then
it cannot be used with Microsoft Windows Codename Whistler, even with the
new Symevent files installed.

Please do the following:

1.. Download and run the latest Sevinst.exe.
2.. Upgrade to the Microsoft Windows Codename Whistler operating system.
3.. Install the Windows 2000 version of your Symantec software from your
original Symantec product CD.
If you already have Microsoft Windows Codename Whistler installed and you
want to install Norton AntiVirus 2000 or 2001, then please do the following:

1.. During the installation of Norton AntiVirus, uncheck "Enable
Auto-Protect on Startup."
2.. After the installation is complete, do not restart the computer, even
though you will be prompted to do so.
3.. Download and run the latest Sevinst.exe from Symantec.
4.. After the Symevent installation is complete, start Norton AntiVirus,
click Options, and check "Enable Auto-Protect on Startup."
5.. Restart the computer.
*Microsoft Windows Codename Whistler is a preview version of Windows that is
currently in beta testing.
