Late in the evening on Oct. 16, Rudy Giuliani made a phone call to this reporter.
The fact that Giuliani was reaching out wasn’t remarkable. He and the reporter had spoken earlier that night for a story about his ties to a fringe Iranian opposition group.

“You know,” Giuliani says at the start of the recording. “Charles would have a hard time with a fraud case ‘cause he didn’t do any due diligence.”
It wasn’t clear who Charles is, or who may have been implicated in a fraud.

But then Giuliani says something that’s crystal clear.
"Let's get back to business."
He goes on.
"I gotta get you to get on Bahrain."
Giuliani is well-connected in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The voicemail yielded no details about the meeting. But Giuliani can be heard telling the man that he’s “got to call Robert again tomorrow.”
“Is Robert around?” Giuliani asks.
“He’s in Turkey,” the man responds.
Giuliani replies instantly. “The problem is we need some money.”
The two men then go silent. Nine seconds pass. No word is spoken. Then Giuliani chimes in again.
“We need a few hundred thousand,” he says.
It’s unclear what the two men were talking about. But Giuliani is known to have worked closely with a Robert who has ties to Turkey.
His name is Robert Mangas, and he’s a lawyer at the firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, as well as a registered agent of the Turkish government.
Giuliani himself was employed by Greenberg Traurig until about May 2018.
Mangas’s name appears in court documents related to the case of Reza Zarrab, a Turkish gold trader charged in the U.S. with laundering Iranian money in a scheme to evade American sanctions.

Giuliani’s conversation partner can be heard responding to the "few hundred thousand" comment. But it’s possible to make out only the beginning of his answer, and even that is somewhat garbled.
“I’d say even if Bahrain could get, I’m not sure how good [unintelligible words] with his people,” the man says.
“Yeah, okay,” Giuliani says.
“You want options? I got options,” the man says.
“Yeah give me options,” Giuliani replies.

We write today to call on you to embrace the values of the men and women who serve you in our armed forces. We knowingly break the culture of public silence expected of retired Generals and Admirals to urge you to exert national and global leadership to stem and reverse the rapidly receding tides of American moral authority.

Today, we are confronted by a growing gap between the values of those who serve our Nation in uniform, and those for whom they willingly execute lawful orders. We fear it is widening to possible fracture.

Nowhere is this gap felt more immediately today than in Northern Syria, where U.S. forces are in the process of withdrawing from the area despite the violent consequences the decision will have on our Kurdish partners. While withdrawing ground forces from Syria may be a noble goal, doing so at the cost of abandoning our Kurdish partners, who valiantly fought alongside us to combat ISIS, is not consistent with who we are as a military force. The potential release of thousands of ISIS fighters, enabling their migration to the nations that make up the heart of our NATO alliance, is not consistent with who we are as a military force.
When we are forced to turn our backs on our own loyalty, commitment, integrity, honor and trust, our challenges become far more daunting. Allies and partners who have served, bled and died by our side will turn their backs on us. Such a development is not in the national security interest of the United States. And as Commander-in-Chief, you have the utmost responsibility to ensure it doesn't happen.
Mr. President, we urge you to adjust course consistent with our vital national security interests and your own unequivocal support for our men and women in uniform.

Trump has long held a grudge against Amazon and its CEO Jeff Bezos, who also owns The Washington Post. He's accused Amazon of scamming the Postal Service (it's not), and has railed against The Post as a "lobbying tool for Amazon," often after the paper reports on news unfavorable to the president.
Snodgrass writes: "Relaying the story to us during Small Group, Mattis said, 'We're not going to do that. This will be done by the book, both legally and ethically."
That contract award is still in dispute, at the direction of The White House.

Upajmo. Ne razumem ljudi v Sloveniji, ki so na njegovi strani.
Nekateri podpiramo znanilce sprememb za dosego pravičnejše in bolj normalne družbe. Drugi podpirate levo usmerjene politike.
Garant je edino to, da če ne zmaga, bomo šteli smrtne žrtve nedolžnih.
Verjetno se bo res kakšen histeričen levičar vrgel pod vlak. Ljudje s šibkim mentalnim zdravjem vedno hodijo po robu samo to nas ne sme ustavit pri normalizaciji svetovne politike.

Alexander Malkevich stood outside the White House on Thursday, braving the 85-degree heat in a skintight long-sleeve shirt with Che Guevara’s face emblazoned on it. Thursday was flag day, as well as the birthdays of Malkevich, Che and President Donald Trump, and he was leading a very small political rally.
But this wasn’t one of the typical protests that crop up on Pennsylvania Avenue. Malkevich sits on Russia’s Civic Chamber commission on mass media, an official arm of President Vladimir Putin’s government. He was there to promote his new Russia-funded, English-language news site, USA Really. Wake Up Americans.

USA Really is the latest in these propaganda efforts — and maybe the most peculiar. The operation is small and does not seem to mind attention from U.S. media. It also didn’t try to obscure that its efforts included trying to pay actors to attend its rally.
Malkevich’s organization, at least thus far, highlights that not all of Russia’s operations are particularly well conceived. His organization has been turned away from venues at which he’d hoped to host events and rallies. His organization was removed from one venue where the group was set to hold a discussion on “how to stop fake news.”
Malkevich filed a permit application with the capital’s Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment to rally in front of the White House lawn on Thursday. The permit called for actors to appear in front of the White House holding signs along with a group of up to seven musicians to “play symphony music in the background.”
“The general concept: public inquest against fake news and/or dishonest journalism; especially on the Flag Day,” the permit reads. “During filming, roughly 10-15 actors (holding signage marked 'real news vs. fake news') are staged in view of the White House, exchanging commentary and demanding that the media give the public the ‘truth.’ ”

USA Really has a variety of links to Russia. The domain name for USA Really was registered privately from a Russian address, and promoted by the Federal News Agency, which is allegedly owned by “Putin’s Chef,” restaurateur oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, who was among 13 Russians indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller for their campaign to sow discord before the 2016 U.S. election. Since April, the jobs section of the Federal News Agency’s website has been recruiting English-speaking journalists for USA Really.

Malkevich sits on Russia’s Civic Chamber commission on mass media, an official arm of President Vladimir Putin’s government. He was there to promote his new Russia-funded, English-language news site, USA Really. Wake Up Americans.
USA Really is the latest in these propaganda efforts — and maybe the most peculiar. The operation is small and does not seem to mind attention from U.S. media. It also didn’t try to obscure that its efforts included trying to pay actors to attend its rally.
Malkevich’s organization, at least thus far, highlights that not all of Russia’s operations are particularly well conceived. His organization has been turned away from venues at which he’d hoped to host events and rallies. His organization was removed from one venue where the group was set to hold a discussion on “how to stop fake news.”
Malkevich filed a permit application with the capital’s Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment to rally in front of the White House lawn on Thursday. The permit called for actors to appear in front of the White House holding signs along with a group of up to seven musicians to “play symphony music in the background.”
“The general concept: public inquest against fake news and/or dishonest journalism; especially on the Flag Day,” the permit reads. “During filming, roughly 10-15 actors (holding signage marked 'real news vs. fake news') are staged in view of the White House, exchanging commentary and demanding that the media give the public the ‘truth.’ ”

USA Really has a variety of links to Russia. The domain name for USA Really was registered privately from a Russian address, and promoted by the Federal News Agency, which is allegedly owned by “Putin’s Chef,” restaurateur oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, who was among 13 Russians indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller for their campaign to sow discord before the 2016 U.S. election. Since April, the jobs section of the Federal News Agency’s website has been recruiting English-speaking journalists for USA Really.

Nepismenost desnakarjev je res osupljiva. O tretjem mandatu Trumpa je pisal tvoj kolega. Včasih se desnica o takšnih stvareh ne bi šalila, očitno se časi spreminjajo in ker je "naš", mu dovolite vse, od odurnega nepotizma, do prav očitnega zasebnega okoriščanja na položaju, kjer je v kričečem konfliktu interesov s svojim podjetjem.
Ni problem niti dogovarjanje z voditelji drugih držav za vpliv na predvolilno kampanjo ipd. Tip je tako skorumpiran in tudi moralno nesprejemljiv, da smrdi do neba, ampak ker piha na rasistična desnakarska ušesa, mu je odpuščeno vse.

Source tells me Lt. Col. Vindman is willing to testify publicly to explain his concerns about Trump-Zelensky call & demands to have Ukraine investigate Bidens. Source also says Vindman is on detail to WH from Army. His family has been assured by Army that Army has his back.
