Nightflyers is a 1980 novella by George R. R. Martin, a 1985 short story collection by the same author that includes the novella, and a 1987 science fiction-horror film based on that novella.
The collection is the fifth by Martin and was first published in December 1985. It contains the following stories and novellas:

George R. R. Martin’s ‘Nightflyers’ Scores Series Order at Syfy, Sets Cast
“Nightflyers” has officially been ordered to series at Syfy and set its main cast, the cabler announced Thursday.
The series is based on the novella of the same name written by “Game of Thrones” scribe George R.R. Martin. The story follows eight maverick scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system in the hopes of contacting alien life. They travel aboard The Nightflyer – a ship with a small tightknit crew and a reclusive captain. But when terrifying and violent events begin to take place they start to question each other, and surviving the journey proves harder than anyone thought. The network revealed they were developing the novella as a series back in May. It was previously adapted into the 1987 film of the same name.
Gretchen Mol is set to star as Dr. Agatha Matheson, alongside Eoin Macken as Karl D’Branin, David Ajala as Roy Eris, Sam Strike as Thale, Maya Eshet as Lommie, Angus Sampson as Rowan, Jodie Turner-Smith as Melantha Jhirl, and Brían F. O’Byrne as Auggie.

Trailer sicer ne pokaže dosti. Se pa vidi, da ima SyFy malo produkcijske težave.
Sci-fi je drag špas za ga naredit kvalitetno. SyFy pa mora to vn redno metat.
Nimam pa se kaj pritoževat nad modernimi serijami. Živimo res v njihovi zlati dobi in je na tone interesantnih, dobrih itd.
Gladko boljše od modernih filmov.
Kaj se splača prebrat novelo?
Všeč mi je cover art, če ne drugega.

Pogledal prvi del pa nimam nekega dobrega občutka. Drugi del bo več povedal, ampak me ne navdaja z optimizmom.
Dejansko je bil trailer hud kar je intri v prvo epizodo potem pa bolj žajfnca.

Problem je sci-fi zgodba, ki je iz davnih 80ih let. GRRM gor ali dol, zgodba je za današnje dni patetična in zastarela.
Po tej zgodbi smo leta 1987 že imeli film Nightflyers (1987) in že za tiste čase je bila zgodba precej klišejska. Nova serija kljub modernim efektom ne more biti kaj dosti boljša.
Dva dela sem pogledal, za ljubitelje grozljivk je vsekakor za pogledat, ampak ni pa prav nič omembe vrednega.
V sci-fi žanru je vedno suša, tako da bom pogledal tudi ostalih 8 delov, če se le ne bo preveč vleklo, ker sama zgodba je dokaj kratka.

To so stara dela od Martina, ko še ni bil gloablno slaven. Zbrane v kolekciji Dreamsongs: A RRetrospective. Se mi pa zdijo bolj netipične ZF zgodbe.

Brez spoilerjev je situacija sledeča in močno različna:
V Origin imamo skupino nepopravljivih kriminalcev na poti na hudo oddaljen neznan planet in brez možnosti vrnitve.
V Nightflyers pa imamo običajno skupino nekaj znanstvenikov, nekaj vojakov in nekaj astronavtov na znanstveni misiji s katere se nameravajo vrniti nazaj na Zemljo.
V Origin imamo skupino nepopravljivih kriminalcev na poti na hudo oddaljen neznan planet in brez možnosti vrnitve.
V Nightflyers pa imamo običajno skupino nekaj znanstvenikov, nekaj vojakov in nekaj astronavtov na znanstveni misiji s katere se nameravajo vrniti nazaj na Zemljo.

Bolj slabo. Pogledal sem samo par epizod, največ štiri, in nato takoj odnehal.
Na žalost, vsi mislijo, da če je serija od R.R.M. mora biti dobra (zaradi Game of Thrones). Razočaranje.

aham, jaz sem zadevo uni dan videl na netflixu, kot original netflixa... nisem vedel, da jo je syfy sproduciral...
