CD Projekt RED je potrdil, da so začeli delati na XBox 360 verziji The Witcherja 2.
Prišla bo menda že letos konec leta. Za konzolo PS3 pa zaenkrat ne bodo delali predelave.
XBox 360 verzija bo enaka PC verziji, seveda s primerno slabšo grafiko, vsebinsko pa naj bi bila enaka. Upajo, da je na Xboxu dovolj odraslih igralcev, ki bodo igro kupili.
Bojevanje bo lahko ostalo enako, saj so priznali, da so tudi PC verzijo delali z mislijo na igralni plošček.

Fighting system je identicen tistemu v assassins creedu in se igra super tako da me sploh ne moti da je bil narejen z mislijo na gamepad. Se mi zdi celo boljsi kot v enki :)

Spisek sposobnosti (Abilities) oziroma "perki", ki jih dobivamo skozi igro.
Gre za SPOILER, ker je razloženo, kje jih lahko dobimo:

Vidim, da sem jih kar precej zgrešil. Pa menda še niso vsi, ker naj bi jih bilo 30.

Witcherja 2 so z navdušenjem opisali celo v slavnem in legendarnem The New York Timesu.

Dober opis, ki zadane bistvo, seveda pa od The New York Timesa kaj drugega tudi ni za pričakovati.
Sedaj ko igro navdušeno igra Obama in so jo pohvalili v najbolj znanem časopisu, ji naziv igre leta zagotovo ne uide 8-)

Še vedno pa čakamo popravek 1.3, za katerega so obljubili, da bo končno prinesel podporo za 16:10, 4:3 in 5:4 ekrane. Morda prinesel najbolj pričakovane popravke inventorija, ki je precejšnja zmešnjava in morda prinesel celo kakšno skrinjo za naše predmete, ki jo igralci besno zahtevajo.

Vseeno se pride nekaj iger letos ven. Bomo videli kaksne bodo se druge. Ponavadi PC eksluziva (se trenutno) nima ravno sans proti multi platform ali konzolnim igram.

Obrnil in sem navdušen (zgodba, odrasle teme, grafika, voiceacting, vse resnično tiptop)

Večje pripombe:
- Medium težavnost je prelahka
- Napitki, pasti, bombe, olja, sneak, metalni noži... so bili povsem nepotrebni (oz. sam jih praktično nikoli nisem uproabljal)
- carrying capacity je daleč preveč omejen
- level cap. Sovražim level cape (čeprav je tukaj okusno narejen)
- Slaba navodila - sploh glede perkov (šele sedaj vidim da bi se lahko izognil spopadu z kraljičinim sinom ob začetku igre)

Me zanima kakšen bo Skyrim proti temu.

TW2 je v tem trenutku eden od najbolj grafično zahtevnih špilov kar obstajajo, je pa res, da tudi na najnižjih nastavitvah izgleda krasno. Ampak laufa nd DX9 in ni najbolje optimiziran, sicer pa se res trudijo s popravki.

Včeraj je prvi igralec poslal vseh 16 posnetih končnih pozicij v igri, ki dokazujejo, da je prišel do vseh 16 zaključkov.

1. New FREE DLC - "A Sackful of Fluff" is a new quest in Chapter 2 of the game. To start the quest, visit the eccentric Elthon, who inhabits a solitary hut near the quarry outside Vergen. The quest will prove most rewarding to those who demonstrate patience.
2. Game now supports 4:3, 5:4, 16:10 aspect ratios.
3. Item storage has been added. Players can now store items from their Inventory at inns. To leave items in storage or collect previously stored items, talk to innkeepers.
4. A ,,Junk" panel has been added to Inventory to provide greater clarity in item classification.
5. New menu option added in ,,Extras" - enables players to view in-game animated sequences (flashbacks, memory flashes, dreams stolen by harpies) outside of the game.
6. A ,,Quickload" option has been added under the F9 key.

Končno bo innkeeper shranjeval našo robo, kot v 1. delu. Kako, da tega ni bilo v igri mi ni jasno. To je bila največja napaka dosedaj.

Najbolj genialen "dodatek" v enki je ravno možnost da ne rabiš shranjevati samo pri innkepperjih, pač pa maš dodatno ikono med quest items, nato pa samo desni klik in že maš full inventory kjerkoli :) Dvojke sicer nimam (še), bi pa bilo nekaj takšnega dobrodošlo (no, za take, kot sem jaz :)

Prvo sem tudi sam klel weight limit in nezmožnost shranjevanja viška stvari.

Ampak potem sem se navadil in sem imel razlog prodajati viške stvari in kupovati kaj novega. Ogromno stvari v igri enostavno ne potrebuješ, stari "epic" itemi so hitro zastareli in tako imaš zgolj spodbudo, da prodajaš staro in stalno prenavljaš inventory.

To ne deluje, če greš ven iz igre z Alt+TAB vidiš, da poleg igre v ozadju ves čas še vedno teče Launcher.

Delno uporabno samo če igraš Iorvethovo pot. Če izbereš Rocheovo pot v celotnem drugem poglavju nimaš nobenega Innkeeperja in si torej še vedno brez možnosti shranjevanja opreme.
V Kaedweni campu sicer je Inn, ampak Innkeeper, ki je tam nima niti imena, ker je tam samo zaradi dekoracije in z njim ni mogoča interakcija. V Vergen, kjer je edini Innkeeper v 2. poglavju pa ne moreš priti, če izbereš Rocheovo pot.

16:10 resolucija končno deluje, ampak ves tekst v igri na 1920 x 1200 je tako mikroskopsko majhen, da ga jaz s prostim očesom ne vidim brati. Če se približan na 10 cm do ekrana lahko komaj preberem kaj se izpisuje na ekranu. Vsaj imena nad glavami NPCjev so nujna za prebiranja, pa jih z normalne razdalje niti v sanjah ne vidim.
Pa da ne bo kdo mislil, da slabo vidim ali nosim očala. Tudi monitor je z 24" dovolj velik. Enostavno so zajebali z velikostjo oziroma majhnostjo fontov in to katastrofalno.

Brez precej Modov je zaenkrat igra še vedno bolj ali manj neigralna. Problem pa je, da precej Modov ne deluje z novo verzijo oziroma povzročajo raznorazne probleme. Večino modov je treba prirediti za novo verzijo.

Tudi Rocheova pot v 2. poglavju ima skrinjo za shranjevanje naših predmetov. Nisem je našel, ker sploh ni v Kaedweni campu, kjer je gostilna, ampak so jo dali kar nekemu Dwarfu že precej izven kampa ob nekem šotorskem naselju 8-O

16:10 razmerje slike ne naredi nič drugega kot da sliko vertikalno razširi od roba do roba ekrana pri stranskih robovih pa sliko odreže, tako je Geralt sedaj povečan, FOV pa dejansko manjši, kar me precej moti. Mislim, da bom kar spet prešaltal na resolucijo v 16:9 razmerju, ker raje vidim več panorame kot Geraltov povečan hrbet. Škoda, ker sem upal, da se bom lahko hvalil kako odlična je slika na mojem 16:10 NECu LCD20WGX2 :(

@Izi, tukaj je nekdo naredil datoteko z večjimi fonti. Včasih sicer zna kakšen kos besedila umanjkati, ampak je kar dobra začasna rešitev.

Fonte sem že sam povečal s programom High-Logic FontCreator.
Sama fonta nista problem, ker ju sploh niso vkompresirali v njihove dzip kontejnerje ampak sta v svoji mapi ..\CookedPC\globals\gui\fonts, tako da ju lahko vsak po svoje spreminja ali zamenja. Tam sta 2 fonta iste družine, eden je Bold, drugi pa Black. Oba se uporabljata v igri.
Problem so premajhni predvideni prostorčki za tekst v igri. Čim preveč povečaš font, bo nekaj teksta sem in tja nujno manjkalo, ker po dolžini ne pride več v tisti ozko odmerjen prostor.
Jaz sem "Units per em" pri obeh fontih spremenil iz 1000 na 900, kar je nekako najboljši kompromis. Skoraj nič ne manjka, najmanjši tekst se že da brati, največji tekst pa še ni prevelik. Tekst v igri gre namreč nekje od 2 mm pa celo do več kot 1 cm.

Kar se tiče pa FOV in resolucij, pa ne verjamem, da kdo opazi razliko med 16:9 in 16:10. Bi pa nujno morali dodati možnost, da se kamero lahko malo oddalji stran od Geralta.
Na 16:9 in 16:10 to niti ni problem, na 5:4 in 4:3 pa je to kar precejšen problem, ker Geralt zasede že skoraj polovico vidnega polja, kamere pa se ne da nič oddaljiti od njegovega hrbta.

Imaš nov tutorial, ki te popelje skozi osnove bojevanja itd. in je narejen luštno kot nekak mini-quest. Potem imaš areno kjer lahko treniraš kot gladiator, nasprotniki nikoli ne prenehajo, prej ali slej te bodo ubili, ampak tu se gre za najvišji score, ki ga lahko potem primerjaš online. In imaš "Dark Mode", novo težavnostno stopnjo, v igri imaš dodatne mini queste kjer iščeš "temačna" orožja in oklep, posebnost teh predmetov je, da dokler jih ne najdeš prav vse (šele v zadnjem chapterju) ti bodo med bojevanjem počasi zbijali health bar. Tole težavnost so si izmislili, ker je marsikdo kritiziral, da je igra na Hard prelahka, na Insane pa ne moreš sejvati (razen checkpointov) in je zato velika zguba časa. Drugače pa za XBox verzijo, ki izide prihodnje leto planirajo dodati še robe, verjetno, ker so bile kritike, da igra začne zelo razkošno in potem v zadnih dveh poglavjih postane vedno bolj siromašna. (kar je po mojem zelo res, Prolog in prvo poglavje sta neizmerno bolje narejena kot zadnja dva poglavja). Vse kar bodo dodali za XBox planirajo podariti imetnikom pc verzije v patchu, ki bo izšel istočasno. Ampak šele naslednje leto.

Witcher 2 developer CD Projekt RED have revealed that they will be giving away an iOS comic set in the Witcher universe; The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is coming to the Mac platform; CDP RED have started a "Write your own review" program where they are giving away 1000 copies of the anticipated The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 to enthusiast reviewers, all owners of The Witcher 2 will receive a complimentary backup copy of their game on DRM-free digital distributor GOG.com, the pre-download of The Enhanced Edition patch for The Witcher 2 will start before April 17th and Polish developers showed gameplay footage from the upcoming Edition of the game.


The iOS comic that they are distributing free through the Apple store stars witcher Geralt in a perilous situation where the reknowned monster hunter may finally meet his match, fighting a cunning werecat in a battle to the death and where politics may force him to stay his hand. This comic, made specially for the iPad, is an interactive journey replete with motion graphics, sound, music, and interactive elements that make this one of the most interactive sequential stories ever brought to iOS. It will be available for iPad and iPhone on the 17th of April.


The Witcher is also arriving on Mac computers, starting from the 5th of April.
