ATI linux gonilnliki in resolucija

Včeraj sem na moj sistem Suse linux 10.0 namestil ATI gonilnike za grafično kartico (radeon 9200SE). Problem pa nastane pri resoluciji. Sam hočem imet resolucijo 1280x768 vendar je iz KDE control centra nekako izpuhtela.Kako jo dobit nazaj? Sax2 se sploh noče zagnat (yast).Po igračkanju z xorg.conf datoteko sem moral ATI driverjem pusti,da naredijo novo vendar je bilo to že po tistem,ko je resolucija izpuhtela.

Sem naredil kot si rekel vendar je avtomatsko preklopil na 1024x768.Problem je,da monitor sam ne podpira te resolucije in ga vrže nazaj.Windowsi mu vsilijo to resolucijo in prav tako so to naredili gonilniki vgrajeni v suse.VEndar sem moral v sax2 odkljukat "prikaži le resolucije,ki jih monitor podpira"(nekaj takega).Problem je,da jaz sax2 ne morem zagnat.Če bi vedel kako nazaj dobit sax2,stare nastavitve bi takoj odstranil ATIjeve gonilnike.Če pa to storim sedaj pa error no screens found

Poglej v/etc/X11 Če je tam kaj PODOBNEGA xorg.conf, zna biti,da gre za backup kopijo...
Sicer pa naj bi imel nekakšen utility XF86Config ali nekaj podobnega, a katerim naj bi lahko ročno nastavil X-e, vsaj grobem...

Poglej, če se naloži "Edid" ali "Esid" modul ob štartu Xov in če stvar zazna zmogljivosti monitorja.
V nasprotnem primeru boš moral v sekciji Monitor nastaviti odklonske frekvence v stilu:

HorizSync "31.5-90
seveda ne prepisuj teh številk kar tako na pamet. Prej preveri, kaj tvoj monitor zmore. (Google)

Stara resolucija je nazaj tako kot mora bit.
Sax2 mi monitor pravilno prepozna kot TATUNG.... Vendar jaz vedno spremenim v VESA 1280x960 in potem nastavim resolucijo na 1280x768.Potem nastavim še KDE pa je vse tako kot mora bit.
