Skener Genius ColorPage-HR5 PRO na Win XP

OK, mi je znano, ampak če bi pogledal tukaj, bi našel navodila INSTRUCTION FOR INSTALLING SCANNER UNDER XP, še prej pa kako namestit tisto SCSI kartico (piše v readme.txt -> hr5fix.exe), in sicer je zate pomembna točka 2, kjer piše da namesti TWAIN Compatible card - DTC318x SCSI host adapter, vsa navodila pa zgledajo tako:

ColorPage-HR5/HR5Pro and ASPI installation.

Note:you can run the windows 98 in safe mode, use the sysedit to edit system.ini
like the STEP 5. After this you are possible to get into the Windows 98

This is the instruction for customers using third party interface like Adaptec or receiving
error message "unable to load VMM32.VXD " after installation of ScanModule driver.
For installation do the follwing steps:

1. Unpack the file hr5.EXE and copy the new files to a floppy disk. In the following this
disk will benamed hr5 driver disk.
In the main directory of this you will fnd the ASPI driver of the hr5 interface card
of ColorPage-HR5/HR5Pro.
The subdirectory HR5 contains the hardware-information-file of the scanner which is
needed later.

2. Run the SETUP of ColorPage-HR5 driver.
Choose "custom installation".
Skip the Acrobat Reader Installer.
In the next window(Select the Neccessary Componet)=> Application Software
Driver Installation, choose "TWAIN compatible"
The following window will allow you to choose between tree different interface cards.
Click on "Adaptec or other ASPI compatible interface card".
Follow installation and do not re-start system!!!

3. Go to control panel click "Hardware" icon.
The hardwaremanager will start.
After some steps you will get a window which ask you to search for new hardware.
Say NO by clicking step "No, choose hardware from list".
Select from the hardware device list "SCSI-Controller".
In the next window click the "Have disk" tab and insert the hr5 driver disk.
System will show you DTC318x SCSI host adapter. Submit and follow installation.
Do not re-start system!!!

(you can skip this section, if windows already detect the HR5/HR5 Pro scanner)
4. Run hardwaremanager again.
From the hardware device list selce "Other compentens".
In the next window click the "Have disk" tab and insert the hr5 driver disk.
Change to the subdirectory HR5 of hr5 driver disk.
The system will show the hardware information "KYE ColorPage-HR5".
Submit and follow installation.
Do not re-start system!!!

(Very important!!!)
(This is where makes your computer halted)
5. Start the windows editor and open the SYSTEM.INI which you will find in the windows main directory.
Go to the section [386enh] and delete(remark)the following line:

Device=C:\windows\smis11.386

or

Device=c:\windows\umaxis11.386

Re-store(save) SYSTEM.INI.

6. Now re-start your system.
