Razumevanje hex kode

Imam en fajl, ki ga imam odprtega v enem hex editorju. Kako najti, kje se nahaja npr. dolocena slika? Oziroma ali se da to sliko iz hex editorja izlusciti in pretvoriti v jpeg?

Najbrz razumem stvar narobe, ampak me zanima.

Kaj pa je ta fajl?

To bo malo več dela. Ugibam, da je f v končnici okrajšava za firmware. Rabiš kompleten reverse engineering celotnega imagea, ki je verjetno še enkriptiran na kak enostaven način. Dober projekt za čez zimo :)

Bom pogledal, ce lahko dobim default file, ker tega, ki je ze dodelan najbrz ne bi smel deliti javno. Default file pa mislim, da se da dobiti javno.

Pomagaj si s čarobnimi bitki, ki označujejo različne tipe datotek. Mogoče najdeš kakšni jpg/png/bmp.

Pa saj za vbf po forumih sodeč obstaja nek tool.

Ni kriptirano (vsaj za zacetek ne), ker potem, ko najdes tar (offset 4896) in ga odzipas, dobis nek imagefs, ki ima notri tole (ampak za to samo vidim, da je notri, ne znam pa dobiti datotek):

A je to dvd od volvotovege navigacije?

Tule so datoteke, ki so notri v tem arhivu, kaj bos z njimi pocel, bos moral pa sam ugotoviti...

Skrivnost sicer ni, kaj dosti koristi pa najbrz tudi ne bo. Najprej sem ven dobil bitmaps.bin datoteko (sta tako @mjaa kot @sbave64 napisala, kako, jaz sem se lotil podobno), potem sem si pa napisal en programcek, ki pa dela bolj "na roke" (ima par stvari hardcodanih, vezano na tocno to datoteko in na kaksni drugi ne bi delalo)... Ko enkrat ugotovis, kaksni so offseti in dolzine datotek, ni tezko.

Najlažje boš vse spreminjal v hex-u, moraš pa poznati kode, kaj bi rad spremnijal pa ne vem, shraniš in vojla (če datoteka ni zaščitena). Vse daoteke ti hex odpre.

Ma tok zlo težko spet ne. Recimo, če vizualiziraš ddb kot 1 byte/pixel, dobiš nekaj takega (za common/minor_gauges/eng_temp.ddb):
(Če je pa kasneje kaj checksumano in/ali signano je pa drugo vprašanje)

Tole mora iti lazje. Eni pravijo, da editirajo *.bmf datoteke.

Recimo tole je ze editiran *.vbf file. Ta "pajkova mreza" kot ozadje je bilo spremenjeno, potem "avtocesta" pod 0km/h...

Tistale slika zgoraj mi izgleda, kot da uporablja 2 byta / pixel. Ampak kaj dosti pojma o tem nimam, tako da bi bilo verjetno bolje, ce sem kar tiho... ;)
