At Bird Buddy we’re looking for a full-time senior NodeJS developer that will set up our architecture and oversee the development of our backend systems.

We launched our Kickstarter campaign in November and quickly became the most funded Slovenian project on the platform now approaching €2 million in funding. As such, we expect significant traffic at launch and require candidates to have real world experience building systems capable of handling high volumes at high throughput.

As one of the core features of Bird Buddy is streaming video and real time capture of photos it’s also very desirable you have experience with video streaming, web sockets and managing high numbers of simultaneous connections.

Responsibilities:

Od kandidatov zahtevamo

5 or more years experience building server side NodeJS applications
Advanced understanding of OO and MVC design principles, RESTful APIs, the HTTP protocol, websockets and general web architecture
Significant experience writing testable software (unit tests, end-to-end tests)
Significant experience building horizontally scalable systems
Significant experience with Linux
Significant experience with Amazon Web Services
Advanced understanding and use of of Git
Excellent ability to communicate and delegate work to other team members
Ability to write clear and concise code that other team members can understand and build upon
Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, work independently
