The current GMLRS can fire about 70 km, and Lockheed has said the extended-range version is designed to fly up to 150 km.
150km za GMLRS je pa kar lepa številka, trenutno UA vojska nima nič kar bi doseglo na kopnem + 100/150km.

Okay so here's my entirely baseless theory of information laundering in the Ukraine war -- drawn entirely from my subjective experience with these kinds of bureaucracies as well as the wider conflict monitoring environment:

In the run-up to the war, and in line with a broader trend in this field, multiple govs - most notably the US and UK plus Balts - went for a proactive public information strategy to preempt Russian disinfo campaigns and generally shape public expectations of what was to come.

In the early stages, there was a big incentive to work (it's work!) to declassify and publicize sensitive products which have now largely dissipated. The risk calculus reg exposing methods has swung back the other way. So the good stuff is probably, once again, held tightly.

Instead, someone in the myriad of staffs proliferating across militaries is tasked with scraping together insights w/out being a burden. And that someone is likely an overworked 23-year-old with no subject matter background who recently completed a two-week course to qualify. Note, everybody is just doing their job to the best of their abilities with the tools they're given. But where's our guy gonna get insights he can put on a slide without running the gamut of sign-offs? Same as everybody else: Twitter. More importantly, open-source Twitter.
If you're new here, OSINT twitter is about 10% professional journalists and analysts (eg bellingcat); 20% dedicated and obsessive hobbyists bored in their day jobs (eg Oryx-ish); and 70% grifters and American teenagers reposting Telegram rumors (all rando "intel" accounts).

And I think this is genuinely underrated. As a result of bureaucratic compartmentalization and classification (and for non-US lack of independent capability), there are large departments across national security states for whom twitter is a genuine informational lifeline.

This has already become a running gag in the usual open-source weirdo channels. Loads of critical briefings and high-priced analysis outputs (in eg. risk mgmt) are essentially compilations of tweets from people who spend their weekends hanging around two or three group chats.

Again not to knock anyone, but these spaces too are subject to availability biases, general meme-ry, as well as half-arsed groupthink, because they're really also just a handful of folks who spend a lot of time hanging out together digitally and reading all the same accounts.

Some Russian war crimes in Chechnya 1994-2009 (Thread)
1) Samashki: The Samashki massacre happened during the first war. Drunk OMON, SOBR and Vityaz troops executed, raped and tortured Chechens. They also looted and burned houses with living people in it. (100+ dead)
2) Elistanzhi: 1999 two Russian Sukhoi Su-24 fighter bombers dropped cluster bombs on the undefended and isolated village Elistanzhi. According to locals 48 were killed, including 9 childrens when a bomb hit the local school. There was no Chechen military presence in the village. 
3) Katyr-Yurt: 2000 Russian forces bombed the village Katyr-Yurt and a refugee convoy under white flags. This resulted in killing and injuring hundreds of civilians. (363 total)

On the 7th of April 1995, the little village called Samashki was victim of a Russian cleansing operation, also called Zachistka. [video]
OMON, SOBR and the terrorist group Vityaz started to cleanse the area around the train station and on the 8th the whole village. Many of them were drunk or on drugs, as always.
More than 3000 soldiers started to loot houses, rape women, kill children, threw grenades into basements where civilians were hiding and many more atrocities.
They also locked people into houses and set them on fire, everyone who tried to escape the burning house was shot immediately. Something like this happened in 1944 — Khaibakh.
The remaining men were taken to filtration camps, every Chechen knows what happened in those camps. I don’t think I have to mention it.
Around this time, Yeltsin compared the Chechens to Nazis.
There is a famous Chechen doctor, Khassan Baiev, he treated the wounded people in Samashki and was a witness of horrific pictures:

Radio Free Europe’s Ukrainian service published the curse-laden recording late Monday, reporting that it was provided by Ukrainian intelligence. One of the men heard in the purported intercepted call—identified as Colonel Maksim Vlasov—is no stranger to the eight-year war in Ukraine’s Donbas. He has been wanted by Ukrainian authorities since 2018 for the 2015 shelling of Mariupol—an attack in which he previously implicated himself by carelessly blabbing about it by phone in an earlier intercepted phone call covered by Bellingcat.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has announced plans to take Kyiv in a few days. Those plans did not materialize. Now for more than three months Ukrainians have been defending their land. And because of this, tensions are rising within the Russian military.
Schemes obtained exclusive audio recordings from a Ukrainian intelligence agency in which Russian colonels discuss the leaders of the so-called Russian special operation in Ukraine. “Shoigu is completely incompetent”, “Putin is a f**king c*nt”, “Dvornikov is a f**king legend on being an imbecile”, and “they have created a whole host of sycophantic motherf**kers”. Also in their conversation, they are trying to justify the easily debunked war crimes of the Russian army with theses of Russian propaganda. Journalists obtained data that allowed them to identify the interlocutors and confirm the authenticity of the recordings.
One is a Russian colonel who commanded missile divisions during the 2015 shelling of Mariupol,when 30 civilians were killed. The other is a military doctor, originally from Vinnitsa region, and has many relatives in Ukraine. During the conversation, he also called for the shelling of civilian targets and civilians: "Waste these f**king bombs, f**k it, there's f**king loads of them, throw them, for f**k’s sake. Even if they hit the wrong f**king place, let them be f**king scared, shoot the f**king train stations, shoot the f**king railways, for f**k’s sake."

Ruski predsednik je ruskemu medvedu naredil res medvedjo uslugo.
Finska in Švedska sta Putina prepoznali kot nepredvidljivega in nevarnega. Kot je nedavno dejala Ursula von der
Leyen, predsednica Evropske komisije, Rusija danes predstavlja največjo grožnjo obstoječemu svetovnemu redu.
Kot že večkrat v preteklosti se je še enkrat izkazalo, da se NATO širi proti vzhodu, ne ker bi želel ogrožati
Rusijo, ampak ker njej sosednje države v njem - najmočnejšem obrambnem zavezništvu do sedaj - iščejo zavetje
pred njenim ogrožanjem.
S članstvom v Natu ne pridobita le Finska in Švedska, ampak tudi NATO in stabilnost v Evropi. Obe državi sta
zgledni demokraciji z močnima vojskama, ki sta že povsem povezljivi z Natovimi silami. Javna podpora članstvu je
na Finskem tri četrtinska, na Švedskem pa nekje med 50 in 60%. Šlo bo za velik prispevek k Natovem odvračanju in
obrambi.
Mnenja, da je NATO klinično mrtev, so preteklost. Zavezništvo je danes enotnejše in močnejše ter tudi
pomembnejše kot že dolgo ne. In kot rečeno, NATO bo kmalu tudi številčnejše. Junijski vrh v Madridu bo vse to
samo še potrdil.
Putin je torej z napadom na Ukrajino, s katerim je želel z zemljevida izbrisati neodvisno sosedo ter razdeliti
EU in NATO, dosegel nekaj, česar si gotovo ni želel.
