Visionect is currently looking for a senior firmware developer for the ARM Cortex platform with multi-year experience in developing low-power embedded systems based on ARM architecture, preferably running a real-time operating system (RTOS) and using WiFi and/or Ethernet for communication.

You will join our firmware development team and take care of further product evolution, which includes: development of new functionalities, low-power optimizations, networking (WiFi and Ethernet) and stability/debugging testing. Our core products run on STM32 Cortex M3/M4, feature the latest and greatest e-paper solutions from E-Ink, Plastic Logic and Epson and use WiFi and 3G for connectivity.

You will create world-class electronic paper solutions together with our in-house electronics design team and server/platform developers. Due to the large scale of our system, its high complexity and the importance of long-term stability, we are looking for people that are interested in long-term commitment and have multiple years of experience with similar projects.

Tasks include:

- Development of firmware in C and Assembly
- Use of RTOS on an ARM based microcontroller
- Development related to networking (TCP/IP; custom communication protocols; various connectivity - WiFi, 3G, Ethernet)
- Power consumption optimization
- Stability testing, debugging, preparing documentation

Od kandidatov zahtevamo

Required skills:

- Expert knowledge of C and Assembly development
- Experience with GNU toolchain for firmware development
- Experience with ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4
- Familiarity with freeRTOS for ARM
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP)

Big plus:

- Experience with STM based ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4 (F2xx, F4xx, ...)
- Experience with Ethernet and WiFi communication modules
- Experience with low-power embedded solutions

Kandidatom ponujamo

Position is open at our headquarters in Ljubljana. We're looking for candidates with 5 years experience. The position is full-time and long-term with a probationary period of 6 months.
