Alongside job cuts, it's also come out that Xbox has pulled its funding from smaller studios that had publishing deals with the gaming giant, and the knock-on effect is leading to even further job losses.

Jaz se ne čudim. Moderni NFS-ji nimajo več nobene povezave s starimi, razen imena.
Predvsem pa sta tukaj vsaj dve generaciji, ki sta se vmes že postarali: eni, ki so igrali prve NFS-je* v 1990-ih, ki so konkurirali Test Drive-om in drugim podobnim igram (npr. Car & Driver), druga generacija pa, ki je nekje v prvi polovici 2000-ih gledala filme Hitri in drzni (Fast & Furios) in posledično igrala igre tipa NFS Underground, Carbon itn., Juiced in podobne.
*prva igra je izšla pod pokroviteljstvom revije Road & Track, ki je bila izvirno narejena za Atarijevo konzolo 3DO, pozneje po portana še za nekatere druge platforme (DOS/Windows 95, SEGA Saturn)
Mlajših generacij pa ta franšiza v resnici ne zanima, saj današnje generacije - z redkih izjem - ne šraufajo več avte, ne predelujejo/navijajo jeklene konjičke, zelo redko gledajo (če sploh) tekme Formule 1/2 whatever, relije ali kakšna druga tekmovanja v motošportu. Jih enostavno ne zanima. To delajo pretežno samo tisti, katerih starši/stari starši to delajo/so delali, oziroma jih morda peljejo na kakšno takšno prireditev.
En primer: tudi na našem koncu Speedway diha na škrge.
