this is the fix for this problem. To solve this, I think the best way is to return the phone to its stock (factory state). open HTC website to look for the stock ROM of your phone, and download the ROM, HTC calls the ROM RUU, and you need to download the *.exe. The link to download ROM is http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downl... Be careful to select the exact ROM for your phone. When the phone turns off it self, just press and hold volume down, the phone shall enter recovery mode, just like the beginning of this video. Then press volume down to highlight "FASTBOOT" and press Power button once to enter Fastboot mode. Connect the phone to your computer, using USB cable. Double click the downloaded ROM, and follow instruction. the phone shall be restored to its factory state

Just get the sim and the sd card out and try again !
