Zdaj me zanima kaj bi blo boljše.

Investiraj v RAID5, rezultat bo hitrost in redundanca.

Well, če maš velik dnarja in rabiš tišino, go for SSD.

I mainly work with huge sample libraries(my own loops and some that i buy), and VST instruments. So I want to ask you people, if there are some musicians here. Here are my disks
Vertex 2 120gb extended: This will be used for OS install and DAW programs and VST plugins
Spinpoint F3 1TB will be used for BACKUP and Program archives to install from
Now the question is. What should I use for my sample library? which disk? It should be at least 500GB. On this disk will not be manny writing, just reading. Because I will work wit loops and there need to be manny sounds loaded and streamed at the same time. So I need the fastest response for loading mini files (mostly less than 1MB size) and fast reading/load times. WRITING speed is not so important because this will be just my sample library and data will not be changed only added to disk.
I though a Velociraptor 600gb would be a good buy, or? What do you guys think. A Momentus XT? I dont have cash for such big ssd so please dont give me advices about how fast ssd-s are. I will not use any raid configuration also! I just want a hard disk that gives you very fast read times for working with loops without much delay.
hope someone will help me
i dont need a rocket launcher, i need a machine gun.. if you know what I mean. small bullets - tratatatatatatatata :D
