Katero distribucijo uporabljas? Predvidevam da Debiana, glede na to da si v prvem postu rekel, da si probal dpkg-reconfigure. Kateri paket si namestil, ko si namescal Xe?

Glede graficne kartice: glede na tvoj XFree86.log ti zadeva niti ne pride do loadanja modula za graficno kartico, tako da to ne vem ce bo pomagalo. Drugace je driver, ki ga uporablja graficna kartica prav tako dolocen v /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 pod Section "Device", parameter Driver "nekaj". Ta 'nekaj' je ime modula - v tvojem primeru verjetno trident, drugace pa lahko poskusis z vesa (kar bi moralo delati skoraj povsod).

Spremljaj, kaj ti napise v log in poskusi ugotovit, katera stvar ti povzroca probleme. V log se zapise, kaj se zgodi, ko se startajo Xi (glede na config datoteko) in lahko vidis, do kam zadeva pride oz. kje se sesuje.
