And whatever Europe's overall defense needs may be, each nation's first priority is protecting their borders. There is limited trust even among alliance members.

Tole ni nujno, verjetno ne bi bilo bistvene razlike, pa tudi verjetno ne bi bil Putin na oblasti.

Sicer pa ZDA in vse ostale velesile delajo samo to, kar si želi delati večina držav, samo velesile imajo moč, da to celo izvedejo, enostavno delajo samo v svojo lastno korist.

In tudi, ko nekoč ne bo več ZDA prva velesila sveta, bo naslednji delal čisto isto sranje, kot ga dela sedaj ZDA.

Production of 155mm artillery rounds crucial to the war in Ukraine is years ahead of schedule, according to Pentagon acquisition chief Bill LaPlante.

The Pentagon’s original goal was to build 85,000 of the rounds per month by fiscal 2028. It’s currently on pace to reach 100,000 per month by FY25, LaPlante said, and at least 57,000 a month by spring 2024.

The current rate, he noted, is 28,000 per month — about double the rate from half a year ago.

On September 8, the European Commission published new sanctions enforcement guidelines, according to which members of the trade bloc may not permit private individuals' vehicles with Russian plates into the EU, Finnish daily Helsingin Sanomat writes (link in Finnish).

These aren't new sanctions on Russia, however, as private vehicles are already subject to an import ban in the EU; the Commission just provided new guidelines regarding how to interpret that ban.

A Commission representative likewise confirmed Monday that as the sanctions are part of EU law, then member states are obligated to enforce them.

The entry ban on vehicles with Russian plates nonetheless doesn't apply to vehicles owned by either EU citizens or their immediate family members.
