Ah ne, daj jim kak mesec, dva, tri...FineWine pa to. Že tale serija Ryzen procesorjev je huda, je*e jih BIOS in RAM, če jim izklaplja Boost in podobno. Glede na to kako so spolirali driverje za grafiko, ne dvomim, da jim ne bi še tu uspelo odpraviti problemov v kratkem.

This is combined with a much smarter branch predictor. Branch predictors try to guess which instructions will be executed after a branch before the processor actually knows for sure. If the branch predictor guesses correctly, the processor's pipelines can be kept full. If not, it will have to flush its pipelines and waste some amount of work.

The Zen branch predictor is smarter--it guesses correctly more of the time--and cheaper--the penalty of an incorrect guess has been reduced by three cycles. AMD now describes the branch predictor as being a neural network because it's based on perceptrons.

Skratka R7 1700 vs i7 7700K, imaš na izbiro za približno isti denar malenkost večjo hitrost v glavnini obstoječih 4core igrah ali pa 100% več jeder. Koliko velika je ta malenkost bo treba še bolj kompletne reviewe videt.

Še bolj mamljivo bo pri R7 1500. Malenkost manjša hitrost za 30% manj denarja(upoštevajoč Intelovo znižanje) in 50% več jeder.

I will put this here for people wondering about the gaming results:
We had a lot of trouble benchmarking games with Ryzen. It seems we weren't the only ones, and many other reviewers have reported strangely low performance here. Our initial Asus board was plagued with bugs, and we saw some gains simply by switching to a Gigabyte or Asrock board. This really isn't the sort of behavior you'd expect, and AMD even acknowledged there were some issues with some Asus boards.
While we are pretty confident in our application test results, there could be some unresolved early issues with Ryzen and AM4 boards that is leading to strangely low gaming performance. We're not 100% sure what is going on there; Steve and I spent a while discussing what could be up, and we ended up confused more than anything else.
So if you're a gamer that's looking at our gaming results and thinking "that's disappointing", there could be an unresolved story here.
Of course one possible conclusion is simply that Ryzen isn't that amazing in games, but we're just not fully sure that is truly the case if all hardware was working correctly
EDIT: Don't get your hopes up about a potential fix. The results we achieved could be it, and you should make any buying decisions accordingly at this stage. The best thing may be to wait a few weeks just to make sure wink.gif

Ja, jaz sem kar prijetno presenečen. Sem bil malo skeptičen, ker prevelik hype se ponavadi konča z razočaranjem.

Moč procesorjev lepo pokažejo zelo dobri Cinebench rezultati - je pa to nova arhitektura in seveda so tudi "porodni krči". Nekdo je komentiral na redditu da je tudi Intel imel probleme z rami na Z170 (se mi zdi) in so rabili več mesecev da popravijo. Nič novega.

Upam da jim uspe spolirat večino težav do launcha serije 5 čez 2-3 mesece, da bo končno neka konkurenca v mainstreamu. In potem še Intel reagira z nižjimi cenami in/ali revizijami, itd. Bo še zelo zanimivo leto.

Res smešno da nekateri ne morejo ali nočejo razumeti kako dobra stvar je Ryzen za nas uporabnike.

"Sodelujejo z izdelovalci iger da te zadeve razrešijo" ain't gonna cut it. Intel ima fantastičen C++ compiler, ki zelo pogosto opazno pohitri izvajanje napram GNU/MS C++ prevajalnikom z vsemi optimizacijami. AMD pa ima ... tole, z zadnjim updejtom iz leta 2013.

That said, anyone running production renders knows that it's the GPU that counts for most rendering tasks, despite some specific use cases where a high-end CPU can be beneficial.

For Premiere, we'd never use the CPU as the primary render workhorse. CUDA and OpenCL acceleration are significantly faster in supported applications.

Zelo dobro, relativno, škoda ker ni hitrejši od Intel pulena. Cenovno itak ni za primerjat, Intel je pač izkoriščal stanje na trgu in dal premium ceno. Me prav zanima koliko stane kos 6900k Intela in koliko kos 1800x AMD, torej cena brez marketinga, samo dejanska proizvodnja.

GCC 7 ima hsa support in zna openmp paralelne konstrukte transparentno izvajat na hsa gpuju, eden od teh amd projektov ponuja cuda to c++ transpiler ... The future is bright.
