Seagate's Momentus XT - hibridni disk

Me zlo matra, da bi si ubodu enih 500 GB za obdelavo fotk, sistem pa ostane na SSD-ju. Ker za 500 GB keša v tem trenutku nimam, beri, s tem ne služim.

Mogoče bo pa tako čakanje na bolj zemeljske cene SSD-jev manj mukotrpno :)

Hah, RAID0 v vsak desktop PC al kako. Ce folk govori o nevrjetnem performance boostu z RAID0 in ga se priporoca kot neka obicajna pot do hitrejsih diskov, je IMO precej hitro vidno, da ni ravno za ga jemat resno.

Novi momentus xt 750G z 8G ssdjem, predvidevajo do 70% pohitritev napram sedanjim.
Cena menda 189$

Mene bolj zanima če ima ta 750 GB model še vedno probleme, da se cache zjebe, če disk defragmentiraš.
Ker ja, SSD sicer res pospeši branje pogosto odprtih stvari ampak če imaš ostale podatke razsute po celem disku bo splošni performance vseeno padel.
