Eno vprašanje. Grafična 7600GT podpira AGP in PCI Express x16 slote. To pomeni, da bo delovala v katerem koli x16 (v1.x, v2.0, v3.0) ali pač samo v v1.x?

Samo AGP torej? Ker v navodilih piše, da podpira oboje. Se mi je zdelo čudno, ampak ok.

hah, vbistvu gre za finto: GPU je bil narejen za PCI-e, vendar kot sam vidiš, ima poleg hladilnika za GPU še hladilnik za HSI čip, ki pretvarja iz PCI-e v AGP.

NVIDIA's High Speed Interconnect (often abbreviated to 'HSI') chip was used in their early PCI Express graphics cards, where it acted as a bridge between the PCI Express connection to the computer and the natively AGP GPU. This allowed NVIDIA to release a PCI Express graphics card without redesigning the graphics card's GPU for the new interface.

NVIDIA has also developed an HSI chip which works in the opposite direction - allowing natively PCI Express graphics card to be released for the AGP interface.
