We are looking for an experienced mobile engineer to lead the development of core features across our mobile apps on iOS, Android, and React Native. Soniox is redefining how people interact with voice and AI, and mobile is where that experience lives for most users. You'll play a critical role in shaping fast, intuitive, real-time voice AI experiences that feel like magic, while building a rock-solid foundation for scalability and performance.

You will be working on a user-facing product powered by our cutting-edge speech and translation AI, used for multilingual communication, transcription, and real-time reasoning. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and research teams to build intuitive, high-performance features that push the boundaries of what mobile apps can do.

In this role, you will:
- Build and ship powerful mobile experiences across iOS, Android, and React Native, delivering low-latency voice AI in users' hands.
- Do foundational improvements to our mobile codebases, including architecture, performance, testing, and developer tooling.
- Partner closely with design, research, and backend teams to create delightful, speech-first product experiences.
- Work across the stack when needed, from microphone streaming to UI polish to ensure the app feels fast, simple, and reliable.
- Continuously improve app quality by prioritizing stability, responsiveness, and user satisfaction.

You might thrive in this role if you:
- Have deep experience building and shipping production mobile apps, with expertise in iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), and/or React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Care deeply about app performance, startup time, battery use, and smooth UX, especially in audio-heavy or real-time systems.
- Enjoy working across the mobile stack, including native modules, hardware integration, and UI frameworks.
- Are passionate about crafting intuitive experiences for complex technologies like real-time speech translation.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, startup environments where you can move quickly and make a big impact.
