At Soniox, we're building the most advanced real-time AI platform for understanding human conversation across every language and environment. As a Data scientist at Soniox, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how data drives decisions across our core products, from real-time speech recognition and translation to enterprise APIs and voice command systems.

You'll be embedded within our product engineering team and work closely with leadership to define key metrics, design experiments, and extract insights that inform product direction and company strategy. Your work will accelerate how we learn from millions of daily interactions, helping us build faster, smarter, and more intuitive voice AI.

In this role, you will:
- Partner closely with product and engineering to define success metrics and drive clarity across experiments, feature launches, and product iterations.
- Design, run, and interpret A/B tests that measure the impact of changes to model performance, user experience, and pricing strategies.
- Create reliable, self-serve dashboards and reporting tools that empower the entire company to make fast, data-informed decisions.
- Build models and forecasts that help guide product planning, customer segmentation, and growth initiatives.
- Introduce best practices for experimental design, causal inference, and product analytics to scale decision-making as we grow.

You might thrive in this role if you:
- Have 5+ years in a data science or analytics role, ideally within a high-growth product company or research-focused AI org.
- Are fluent in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, statsmodels or similar), and experienced with experimental design and causal analysis.
- Have led data efforts from scratch: defining new metrics, launching dashboards, and driving insights that directly impacted product decisions.
- Are equally comfortable digging into raw data and presenting findings to cross-functional teams, including engineers, PMs, and leadership.
- Thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
