At Soniox, our real-time AI systems depend on a high-performance, reliable, and scalable data infrastructure. We're looking for an engineer to join our Infrastructure team and help build the foundation that powers every product, experiment, and breakthrough at Soniox.

You’ll work across the stack: from streaming pipelines and vector stores to Kubernetes infrastructure and distributed OLAP systems. You should be excited by deep system debugging, building robust abstractions, and enabling teams across the company to move faster with better data.

In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and operate core data infrastructure systems, including distributed compute, stream processing, orchestration, and low-latency storage to support real-time AI applications.
- Ensure our data systems scale reliably as we grow to handle exponentially more users, data, and model complexity.
- Partner with product, research, and safety teams to enable fast iteration and seamless integration across the company.
- Build robust tooling and APIs to empower other teams with self-serve, production-grade access to data.
- Participate in on-call rotations and be responsible for the availability and performance of the systems you build.

You might thrive in this role if you:
- Have 4+ years of experience in infrastructure or data engineering, ideally with exposure to large-scale systems.
- Are experienced with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms.
- Enjoy solving hard problems in distributed systems.
- Take pride in building secure, observable, and self-healing infrastructure.
- Are curious, self-directed, and enjoy learning and teaching others.
