As a Platform Engineer in Sportradar you will be part of Sportradar's global team. The team works closely with developers, security, DevOps and Architects.

Sportradar invests heavily in automation and accessibility services. We are therefore looking for a new team member who can implement and maintain such services. Our server infrastructure consists of thousands of physical and virtual machine, includes managed services, Kubernetes clusters and spans several physical data centers as well as Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are expanding our virtual infrastructure with container orchestration through Kubernetes and explore managed services with our cloud provider.

You will work with the solutions of the future in the sports, media and betting industry. You will collaborate with developers on technical architecture and implementation of new products and services.

THE CHALLENGE
- Collaborate with developers on technical architecture and implement new products and services
- Search, select and implement new tools and technologies for a simpler everyday life
- Ensure that Sportradar's services are available and functional 24/7 by being part of their watch arrangement
- Datacenter Divestment, Public Cloud Migration, Private Cloud Operations

Od kandidatov zahtevamo

- Have a relevant higher education and/or experience
- Are a experienced linux system administrator
- Want to learn more about cloud providers and their services

Furthermore, we look for you with experience from one or more of these areas:

- Have experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud providers and want to learn what AWS can do
- Aware of what Kubernetes / Docker is and have experience or want to learn more around hosting it
- Configuration management, infrastructure as code, such as any of cfengine, ansible, puppet, cloudformation or terraform
- Open Source or enterprise storage and virtualization infrastructure, such as Openstack and Ceph
- Operational aspect for Databases, preferably AWS RDS / Aurora and MySQL
- Web technologies like Nginx, Varnish, PHP and NodeJS
- Monitoring tools like Newrelic, Prometheus, Pagerduty, Grafana, Dead Mans Snitch, Zabbix
- Good oral and written presentation skills in English

We do not expect you to have knowledge of all these technologies, but hope you want to learn!
