At Viaduct, we are developing an end-to-end machine learning platform to empower automakers to build safer, more intelligent, and personalized vehicles. Our platform increases the accessibility and actionability of connected vehicle data for automakers and their partners and end-customers. You are an empathetic engineer. You pay attention to the long term implications of your design decisions and how they may affect future users of the application. Clarity is better than cleverness - simplicity is top of mind when writing code or designing new services. You know when to make the trade-off between getting work done and doing it perfectly.

Expected Skills

+ Experience as a tech lead or mentor
+ 3+ years working as a full-stack engineering on a production system
+ 2+ years working with Go, typed Javascript (TypeScript or Flow), and React
+ Experience developing and versioning APIs
+ Know how to build event-driven applications
+ Experience with working with analytic and monitoring tools, such as Sentry, DataDog, Mixpanel, New Relic, etc
+ Professional experience with Docker and Kubernetes
+ Bachelors or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

Day 5

+ Learn about Viaduct history and mission
+ Get to know every team member
+ Understand Viaduct system architecture
+ Deep dive into the nuances of vehicle data
+ Attend our weekly ML lunch

Day 30

+ Contribute new features to the product frontend and backend
+ Improve existing CI to enable correct and rapid iteration on code
+ Create an RFC for a new Kubernetes service
+ Be familiar with the day-to-day work of machine learning engineers and data scientists

Day 90

+ Be an expert in Viaduct customer-facing backend and frontend services
+ Improve the onboarding process for future hires
+ Present about yourself and your work at our weekly ML lunch
