The inquirer - Ob najavi nVidiinega GeForca FX 5900 Ultra, so se po spletu začele širiti govorice o ATi-jevem novem čipu. Novi R360 naj bi bil v bistvu enak čipu R350, le da bo deloval pri višjih frekvencah. Grajen bo v 0,15 mikronski tehnologiji, saj bi izdelava v 0,13 mikronski tehnologiji zahtevala več stroškov in časa, kar bi dalo prednost nVidii.
Sklepamo lahko, da bo ATi-jeva kartica delovala le malce hitreje od nVidiine, saj bo to le izboljšana inačica Radeona 9800 Pro. Najverjetneje se bo R360 imenoval Radeon 9900 Pro, saj je to edino ime, ki je še prosto. Kakorkoli že, ATi že dela na razvoju R400 - čipa nove generacije - ki ga lahko pričakujemo konec leta. Konkurenca je vedno zdrava [:))]. R360!

R360 Rumours - 4:15 pm EST - G.I.Bro
I was just over at DH and spotted some hardware rumours about ATi's next card.
OK now its R360s turn, remember these are just collected rumours:
Name: Radeon 9900PRO
GPU Core: R360
Clock Speed: 420Mhz (Bit of guess work there though it would seem reasonable)
Man. Process: 0.15ľ (TSMC will have massively matured this by now - better high clock speed yields)
Pixel Fillrate: 3360MPixels/s
Texel Fillrate: 3360MTexels/s
Memory: DDRII 256MB 256bit
Clock Speed: 800Mhz (This is likely due to heat produced at higher speeds)
Bandwidth: 25.7BG/s
Everything else about the card should remain the same as the 9800PRO as it is essentially just a speed bump of R350 using a slightly more mature process from TSMC, remember the R350 supports DDR2 so no real changes have even been made, its just a question of accepting lower yields for a faster chip, something the ATi money men probably wont be that happy about having to do =)
