Kar se ve o ivy bridge(vir wikipedia):
Ivy Bridge is the codename for the yet-to-be released 22 nm die shrink of Sandy Bridge. Ivy Bridge processors will be backwards-compatible with the Sandy Bridge platform, but requires a bios/firmware update. Intel will also release a new 7-series Panther Point chipset with Ivy Bridge,it will come with integrated USB 3.0.
Due to having no significant obstacles during the new 3D gate development, Intel plans to begin sale of the processors to its customers in Q4 of 2011, with actual retail availability from March 2012 onwards[10]. Intel has been producing Ivy Bridge chips in volume, in preparation for the product launch, starting in the third quarter of 2011.
Thermal design power (TDP), according to a leaked Intel roadmap, will come in 77/65/55/45/35W options for desktop processors, while Intel says that mobile processors will use variable TDP (for example normal at 15W TDP, which automatically rises to 35W TDP when the laptop is plugged into a docking bay; with a corresponding rise in performance).

Ivy Bridge is considered a tick from the CPU perspective but a tock from the GPU perspective. On the CPU core side that means you can expect clock-for-clock performance improvements in the 4 - 6% range.
Ne vidim kje piše, da je to bilo včasih, oziroma kje piše sploh 20% (to piše na wiki, vir pa je zelo sumljiv in star).

Predvsem je intel delal na zmanjšanju porabe cpu-ja kot pa na neki veliki pohitritvi. Tako bo največji TDP 77W, kar je velik napredek(če napovedi veljajo).

Nekje sem zasledil da naj sedanje plošče 1155 ne bojo podpirale IVY bridge, oziroma samo z modifikacijo katero bi opravili v tovarni, kar v praksi pomeni nove plošče za IVY bridge

OP zmaga :) Sicer pa precej pričakijem od IB, kje so meje velikosti (majhnosti) tranzistorjev. KOlikor sem videl neke slike, imajo napovedane 10nm čez 5 ali 6 let. Kaj pa potem, 7nm, 8nm?

Nevem od kje imate te ideje,da bo zaradi nove serije, cena starim padla. Cene sicer ves cas padajo, ampak velikih pocenitev zaradi nove serije ne bo, nikoli jih ni bilo, tko da nehite sanjarit.

Definitivno ne bo nekakšne ogromne pospešitve v primerjavi z SB. Nekje sem bral, da arhitektura omogoča 37% višjo zmogljivost ali 50% nižjo porabo v primerjavi z SB. In glede na razne prezentacije (in verjetno AMD BD) večino truda usmerjajo v ekonomičnost na strani CPU (in višjo zmogljivost na strani GPU).
Izjemno zanimiva informacija pa bo kako 3D tranzistorji delujejo pri višjih frekvencah (overlock). Lahko bomo imeli izjemno dober scaling frekvence (in zmogljivosti) ter nizko porabo pri tem.

Kdaj pa bodo sploh na voljo tile laptopi z ivy bridge. Ker zdajle na CES-u firme kar ena za drugo prestavljalo laptope z iva bridge, ampak če se ne motim sem nekje bral, da naj bi ivy bridge bil na voljo šele proti poletju.

Ocitno tudi Intel ni imun na tezave. Je pa ze rahlo bedno, da se toliko prestavlja. Takole je lani AMD mutil z bulldozerjem.

Kaj naj pa pokažejo, da je Phenom II X4 hitrejši z neko HD4850 kot pa Ivy Bridge na Intel HD za precej manj keša. No vem niso vse igre, samo kaj pa sploh še ostane velikim.

Ce pride haswell prej kot konec nasledjhega leta, je to prst v rit kupcem iyvja.

Drugo leto okoli marec-jinij naj bi izdali haswell, seveda če napovedi držijo in če ne bo zamud.
To me malo jezi, računalnik bom verjetno kupoval jeseni in takrat se bo počasi približeval haswell in glede na to,da se mi ne mudi za nakup, bom mel dve možnosti:
1. ali takrat kupit ivy bridge
2. ali pa malo počakat in vztrajat na starmu compu , pa pol nabavit haswell in novi LGA 1150 socket.
Tako pač je v računalništvu, če čakaš, potem nikoli ne kupiš, ker vsake pol leta al leto pride kej novega in hitrejšega ven.

Sj pravim, če ne bo. Predvidevamo pa tk verjetno vsi, da bo zamujal in se bo premaknil izid v jesen 2013.
Pa tudi vprašanje, kolikšno pohitritev bo sploh doprinesel, to bo "tock", torej enaka 22nm tehnologija kot Ivy bridge, izboljšave predvsem pričakujem na grafičnem področju in večji potencial "varčevanja z energijo". Pa kaj ti bo VELIKOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rama, če pa ga več kot 4GB ne rabiš, medtem ko ga lahko imaš 16GB na lga 1155 plati. Pa kaj ti bodo šetjederni 700/1000€ procesorji, če pa jih 95% ljudi ne rabi in jim je čist dost kak i3 ali i5 procesor za 100-200€.

In kaj tocno ti pomaga quad chanell, ce je pa pocasnejsi, kot dual na 1155?
Na LGA1155 lahko tudi 32GB rama utaknes not, ce je res sila.
