Java Developer for Fraud Detection in sports -- brisan oglas

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team at Fraud Detection System (FDS). As a market leader in match-fixing detection for various sports and e-sports, we are looking for someone who is passionate about using their skills to make a difference in the world of sports.

In this role, you will collaborate with various units within our company, including AI and data acquisition teams. We also work with multiple well-known sports associations, providing you with the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and make a real impact.


THE CHALLENGE:
- Maintaining existing Java applications & components,
- Supporting code-refactoring initiatives, cloud migrations, and conversion to microservices through Kubernetes,
- Contribute to developing new functionalities, all deployed to AWS,
- Make the system more secure, stable, and efficient,

- Become a domain expert in the detection of match-fixing and contribute to a better world.

Od kandidatov zahtevamo

You are a developer who enjoys challenging assignments, both maintaining legacy as well as creating new functionality. Knowing sports and betting is an advantage, but not required, as we will provide you with good guidance and mentoring. You are also a team member, that is eager to collaborate with other developers, QA, DevOps, and internal users. But most of all, having an enjoyable time working on unique products.

Required:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in software development (or relevant experience),
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience with the Java ecosystem of a similar programming language,
- Experience working with distributed systems,
- Experience with cloud, containers, and messaging technologies is considered a plus,
- Focus on writing maintainable and well-tested code,
- Being supportive of your colleagues and helping them when needed,
- Effective communication skills must be fluent in English.
