Who We Are

We are developing an end-to-end machine learning platform to empower automakers to build safer, smarter, and personalized vehicles. Our platform increases connected vehicle data accessibility and actionability for automakers, their partners and their end-customers.

About the Role

You are helping build and support the backbone of our analytics platform; whether it be spinning up a new tool on Kubernetes for the ML team, or developing a robust deployment process and monitoring for customer-facing applications, the user experience for internal and external platform users is more reliable and efficient because of your work.


Responsibilities

+ Creating, debugging and monitoring tools to proactively mitigate issues and prevent outages
+ Ensuring internal and customer-facing service uptime
+ Building, deploying, and supporting AWS and Kubernetes-based ML infrastructure
+ Following and improving our GitOps practices
+ Streamlining rollouts and promotions of microservices and machine learning models to production

About You

+ 3+ years as an Infrastructure, DevOps or Site-Reliability Engineer
+ Deep understanding of Unix systems
+ Familiarity with Python/Go
+ Hands on experience with Docker
+ Proficiency with Kubernetes
+ Working knowledge of AWS
+ Experience with at least one Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) or automation tool, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, cuelang, etc.
+ Experience with modern cloud-native logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Logging EFK, etc)
+ Bachelors or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

Bonus

+ Experience with managing ML infrastructure
+ Experience with Spark or equivalent technologies
+ Contributor to open source projects
+ Experience in the Automotive industry or a love of cars
+ Prior work in small, agile teams

Day 5

+ Learn about Viaduct history and mission
+ Get to know every team member
+ Understand Viaduct system architecture
+ Deep dive into the nuances of vehicle data
+ Attend our weekly ML lunch

Day 30

+ Develop new and improved CI/CD and scheduled workflows to automate operations
+ Deploy a Kubernetes Service, instrumented with monitoring and proactive alerting
+ Be familiar with how the Viaduct platform supports our ML teams and products

Day 90

+ Be an expert in the Viaduct platform infrastructure
+ Shape the vision of the Viaduct platform operability, scalability, and reliability
+ Improve the onboarding process for future hires
+ Present about yourself and your work at our weekly ML lunch
