As a Backend Engineer at Sportradar, you will work on the development of Sportradar's analytics platform and data pipelines to collect, transform, warehouse and analyze large volumes of sports data and data related to the use of Sportradar's products. You will help develop and support our data analytics technical infrastructure, leveraging a combination of managed cloud services and cloud-hosted open source frameworks.

The challenge:
-Design, develop and run scalable, reliable and secure data warehousing architectures and data integration/processing pipelines.
-Design, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure supporting distributed batch analytics jobs as well as real-time stream analytics infrastructure.
-Data modeling for reporting and analytics use cases.
-Perform ad-hoc data analyses, support data scientists and analysts with their data requirements.
-Support the development of state-of-the-art machine learning, data analytics and reporting solutions leveraging our data.
-Present technical architectures, ideas and solutions to fellow engineers in a clear and understandable way, contribute to the evolution of our technology stack.
-Co-create and deliver an ambitious business intelligence & AI roadmap in close coordination with business and technical stakeholders in the Sportradar group.

Od kandidatov zahtevamo

-Demonstrated technical expertise in the following areas: databases, data modeling, ETL processes.
-Hands-on experience in Java ecosystem
-Experience with data warehousing (e.g. MongoDB/Cassandra/Hadoop or Spark)
-Experience with data streaming frameworks (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)
-Bonus: DevOps experience (hands-on experience with the design, set-up and administration of infrastructure) and with cloud services like AWS/Azure.
-Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
