We`re Povio, a Y combinator company that helps seed or series A,B funded companies in San Francisco to launch great products. We specialize in rapid UX prototyping, building MVPs and fast iterations on production services.

We’re looking for a JavaScript engineer to join our engineering team in Slovenia. You will work side by side with great peers with either fullstack or frontend javascript experience. This position is also great for those that are looking great mentors to learn from since our javascript group is lead by our very best JS tech lead Adam.

Our weapons bay consists of the following inventory:

- We write our JavaScript in ES6, we’re also on the forefront with the latest features coming from ECMAScript 17 & 18

- Some team members spacialize in frontend application development, but others are fullstack JavaScript devs

- Our backend code runs on latest node (version 8 currently)

- The basis for our backend is always express, but to avoid homebrewed patterns we defer the responsibility of structure to the sails framework

- On the frontend side we use React with state management powered by redux and some times mobx

- When it comes to hidden dev utils we swear by prettier-standard, webpack, eslint, istanbul

- Our default IaaS is AWS but we often time use Heroku

- SaaS we love: github, trello, circle CI, codeship, slack, trello and many more

This is our preferred stack, but like true pros we don’t shy away from clients that have an outdated version of angular for example. We normally encourage clients to migrate to the modern weapons bay we employ on a daily basis.

We have a toned down version of scrum tailored for fast small teams. We do go fast when we take off!

If you identify yourself well with our stack then you are probably the right fit and look forward to your application. If you don’t know some tech listed within our stack, but have an idea on how to pick it up fast you are fine too.
